Sonuvi Server
Sonuvi Server is an open-source enhancement layer for moOde Audio, designed to run on its own Raspberry Pi alongside your moOde player. It keeps moOde focused on what it does best—managing your music library and playing your music—while Sonuvi adds a richer, more personal way to browse, discover, play, and control it.
Your music stays with your moOde system, while Sonuvi Server provides the services and interfaces around it. There’s no required cloud music service and no need to move or duplicate your library.

- A richer library experience. Browse and search your artists, albums, songs and playlists, with artwork, favorites, ratings and listening history brought together in a consistent interface.
- Queue Wizard and Vibe. Build a queue around what you feel like hearing, or start with a song and let Vibe find related music from your own collection. Sonuvi works with the active moOde queue rather than creating a separate playback world.
- Radio that knows what’s playing. Sonuvi can enrich supported music and classical radio streams with track and program information, animated artwork and other context that an ordinary stream doesn’t provide.
- Your music, wherever you want to control it. The same Sonuvi Server can power its web controllers, the Sonuvi app on iPhone and iPad, CarPlay and voice control through Siri and even Alexa (with installed skill).
- Full display flexibility. Design display outputs for TV, your custom moOde device, or a spare tablet that you want to turn into a gorgeous “Now Playing” display.
- Open source and self-hosted. Sonuvi Server runs alongside moOde on hardware you control. Your library stays yours, and the software is open to inspect, modify and extend.
Built around moOde, not instead of it
Sonuvi Server doesn’t replace moOde or create another copy of your music library. moOde and MPD remain responsible for your library and playback. Sonuvi builds on top of them—adding the browsing, discovery, interfaces and integrations that turn a great audio player into a more complete personal music system.
